For most of you, the summer season won't officially begin for another couple of weeks. But we can't wait. Wednesday morning, we launch of our newly re-designed Geneva Lakes Weekender entertainment guide.

The best part is that you won't have to go far to find it.

In addition to being available on news racks throughout the area, Weekender now will be included in home delivery of CSI Media's Wednesday Shopper Advertiser.

Weekenders e-edition will also be available online through our sister site, CommunityShoppers.com.

This week's issue features an interview with Lake Geneva's JaNelle Powers and the area's support for theater.

Music reviewer and Lake Geneva resident Tony Bonyata, cofounder of the music website ConcertLiveWire.com, is listening to the latest CD by Milwaukee's Decibully

Movie reviews feature the thoughtful analysis and clever writing of the Chicago Tribune’s Roger Ebert, along with weekly music capsules edited by Delavan native Brian Larson.

Book reviewer Terri Schlichenmeyer of LaCrosse is a new addition to the lineup.

Weekender also will continue to include Ginny Hall’s Mystery Place column.

“Being able to offer Weekender to even more readers in Walworth County each week is an exciting step in the continued evolution of CSI Media’s publications,” said Bruce Heisel, the company’s managing editor. “It’s a top-notch publication that has become required reading for county residents who want to keep up on events and developments in the world of arts and entertainment.”

Weekender will be available a day earlier, as a second section of the Shopper Advertiser, total circulation from home delivery and newsstands will be about 45,000.

“CSI was built on a platform of connecting our customers with their customers and what better way to do this than with the entertainment sector of the Geneva Lakes areas and surrounding Walworth County,” said General Manager Dan Pyfer.

Based on input from readers and advertisers, our sales, production and news teams have put together an expanded publication of the Weekender that caters to the interests of all its readers.

As Weekender continues to grow, CSI remains committed to finding new ways to strengthen its commitment to connecting advertisers with readers.

“We’re fortunate to be able to offer continued growth for our advertisers at an economic time when they need it the most,” Pyfer said.
