Have you had any luck fishing on Walworth County lakes since the opening day Saturday?

It's no secret that Walworth County lakes are a big draw for anglers from throughout the Midwest.

For example, Saturday Night Live alum Norm McDonald told a radio interviewer last week that he plans to do a little fishing on Delavan Lake this weekend after his show Friday night at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee.

He said he'll be on the water with Chris Farley's two brothers. Farley, who also gained fame as a member of the Saturday Night Live cast, died in 1997. His family remains in his home town of Madison.

Delavan Lake isn't the only expected hot-spot this spring.

Lake Buelah was stocked with more than 7,000 catchable-sized Rainbow trout late last month, part of the Wisconsin DNR's project to stock inland lakes in advance of last week's sport-fishing season opener.

In addition, about 70,000 fish were stocked in urban fishing waters, small lakes and ponds cooperatively managed with the local municipality and used as a place for fishing clinics and kids fishing.

The include Ceylon Lagoon across from Big Foot Beach State Park in Lake Geneva, Congdon Park in Delavan and Millpond Park Pond in East Troy.
