Considered the most grueling of intercollegiate sports, the University of Wisconsin team is the oldest women's team in the big 10.
Winning runs in the Buchholtz family. Rachel's sister, Becca, was a track and field standout at East Troy High School.
She capped off her high school career in 2008 by winning the Division 2 triple jump — her fifth state title in three years.
She now attends Michigan State University.
A year ago, reporter Catherin Idzerda wrote about the other two Buchholtz sisters, including youngest sister Hannah, and Danielle, who was just about to ship off Iraq as a member of the Janesville-based Alpha Company of the Army National Guard.
