Video: '85 Bears reunite for remake of "Super Bowl Shuffle"

CHICAGO -- When Super Bowl season rolls around, thoughts turn to the '85 champion bears -- not that they'd let anyone forget.

A couple of weeks ago, a handful of old Bears teammates got together for dinner and good conversation, writes Jon Greenberg for ESPNChicago.com.

Here's an excerpt from Greenberg's column:

These men are some of the most successful ex-Bears, the ones who belong to the East Bank Club and have luxury suites at Soldier Field or live contentedly in sunny locales.

Some are still close friends; others moved away decades ago, out of the loop and the Loop.

The occasion was a commercial shoot. It's what the 1985 Bears do best these days: Evocation for Dollars.

Boost Mobile brought back a few memorable soloists/cowbell players to recreate the famous "Shuffle" video for a Super Bowl commercial. The 30-second parody will air during the first quarter.

Despite the video's popularity, the Bears have never remade it, for various reasons. And that's part of the joke in the commercial.

We lived in the Chicago area during the 80's and enjoyed the Bears' Super Bowl shuffle and all the other antics during that time. It was fun!! The guys were all characters and entertained us with their football talents as well as their antics. Our kids were teenagers at the time so we were really into it! Thanks for the memories!
