Lyons' Days 2009

The Lyons' Lions Club and Lyons' Fire Department will host the annual Lyons' Days Celebration Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 12-13.

The PTO of Lyons Center School will be sell food and non alcoholic drinks.

The Lyons' Fire Department will host Explorer Water Fights at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, and local fire departments will battle it out on Sunday following the parade.

There will also be a draw-your-partner horseshoe tournament and 100 percent cash payout at 2 p,m, Saturday.

A two-day sSoftball tournament ends with playoffs Sunday afternoon.

Local Lyons' businesses have sponsored the children's area for both Saturday and Sunday including bouncy house for the little ones, competition game for older kids and aerial prize drop on Sunday afternoon.

The Lyons' Leos Club will also be running a dunk tank on Saturday and Sunday.

From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, SHARP will paly in the beer pavilion. New Dog Trick will take the stage 8 p.m. - Midnight. Music and announcements will be provided all weekend by Brew city music.

The Lyons' Days Parade will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday in downtown Lyons, followed by food, foam and fun in the park.

A raffle will help raise funds to support Lyons' Days. Please contact any Lyons' Lions Club, Lyons' Fire Department or Lyons PTO member to get more information or to purchase raffle tickets.

Gates open 10 a.m. - midnight Saturday and 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday. Come early on Saturday and enjoy free admission ($5 admission after 6 p.m.) and free admission all day on Sunday.
