EMMO46- You ask what is SG's problem? You have got to be kidding? Her son has a broken back, have you no sense? Were you a perfect child? Didn't you EVER do anything that could be construed as normal fun? (Do you even know what that means?) TP-ing is a long long long tradition of harmless fun. This is not vandalism. Do you have absolutely no compassion? This mother is just telling the story how she experienced it. Didn't your mother ever teach you that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything? People who think like you should not judge others- have you ever heard of "what goes around comes around?" Hopefully you will never have to go through what this mom is going through right now.

Ok, time to pipe in on this child support thing again! First, let's stop pretending that "poor old dad" is the victim. The children are the victims. Yes, there are some women AND MEN who have custody that rack up the money in child support while being on welfare. That alone does not mean that the child support does not need to be paid. The county is taking care of the custodial parent and the kid(s) and I do agree that the county should be reimbursed for some of that from the child support. But after that has been said, JAIL is the answer, with huber privileges wherein the deadbeat (mom or dad) has to have a job and the money goes right to the county, who in turn pay the child support BEFORE any other fines. The custodial parent gets at least some portion so that some of the child support is paid. Just a side note to those who have NO CLUE how this works, get your facts straight before you make your unwarranted comments. Been there, still there, will be there for a VERY LONG TIME because the deadbeat will NEVER repay what HE owes--at least the children don't have to miss out on some of the fun they should be having because some of that child support can go to them after helping to feed, clothe, and pay for medical bills.
