I guess I just do NOT understand why people choose NOT to get the legal papers to enter the States. Is it difficult to get the proper paper work? Seriously, I don't understand the process. Are they criminals? Are they ineligible for some reason?

Does anyone know?

That said, we are the melting pot of the world. I certainly see why others would want to live here. But most all of our ancestors entered through Ellis Island from Europe. LEGALLY!!!
