Calm down, DisneyWorld7. I believe MOC0428 was referring to one of our regular posters here who used the name "thekid" and is a proponent of legalizing marijuana.

Let's try this.
Delavan-Darien Superintendent says in the article, ""I think it has to do with our perception in the community, and that's certainly what we're trying to turn around."
I would suggest that instead of trying to work around the perception, they examine and then fix the causes of the perception. I have children in that district and we have seen firsthand many issues, involving both safety and education, that need to be addressed.

I'm curious why my comment was deleted? I'm not arguing about it, just wondering what it was that went "over the line" so I don't repeat the mistake in the future.
On Mukwonago man falls $100,000 behind in child-support payments

Putting him in jail, while a good punishment, wouldn't help get the money he owes paid back any sooner. Once he gets out of jail, he'd still owe the money. Further, he might find it more difficult to find work just after serving a jail sentence.
As was mentioned in another comment, if he was supposed to be paying $500 biweekly, then he'd have to be making some pretty good dough. Following that logic, he's likely acquired some "toys" and other material goods that could be auctioned off to help with reducing his debt. He's gotta be doing something with the money he's making if he's not paying his child support, right?

I guess my question would be - what would have happened if the victims DIDN'T agree to pay for the expert witness? Would the DA's office declined to prosecute the case and allow the contractor to skate by with his theft?

When we were kids, my buddies and I used to build forts like that all the time! Never really used them for anything, the fun was in the building and imagining we were living in the woods like we were Daniel Boone.

I was very disappointed when they made the decision to close Pick n Save and take over Piggly Wiggly. I hate shopping at the Pig. The selection is less than stellar, the prices aren't as good, it is difficult to navigate the smaller store and find what you're looking for. I'm hoping this expansion will remedy at least a few of those complaints.

This might come across as being kind of nitpicky here but....
"...but officials didn't immediately know what happened to him after that or how he was brought to Walworth County for charges."
Um, how could they not know how he was brought to Walworth County for charges? Did he suddenly materialize one day in a jail cell? He was in custody when he appeared in court Oct 1 on this case.
