Schools today are all involved in "diversity training". The parents could have asked that the school district to implement a program that would have addressed that. The incident took place in May (end of school year). The suit took place on Sept. 3rd (beginning of new school year. Teachers are gone during the summer. Doesn't look like the parents are giving the district much time to implement ANY type of program. Also, if the information is correct as supplied by others contributing to this blog, these people are looking for one thing...CASH. As I said earlier, Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton should arrive any time now.

If this group wins some sort of settlement, what's to stop (say an Italian family) from suing the district because there's not enough pasta served at lunch? Or (an Irish family) suing because their son/daughter can't be excused on St. Patrick's Day. It's ALL ABOUT MONEY folks. I don't condone what(ever) the students at Whitewater H.S. have said or done but the parents of these students could have found a better way to solve this problem. I'm sure Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton will arrive in Whitewater any day now.
