— Local photographer Les Crisman, of Walworth, will be the guest presenter at the Geneva Lake Art Association’s March 28 meeting.

Crisman, who is a GLAA member, will discuss basic digital photography, camera settings and techniques used to capture images in his own award-winning photography. He photographs images from nature, animals, abstract subjects, or whatever catches his eye at the moment.

His photographs have been published in Wisconsin Trails, Farm & Ranch Living and Keefe Real Estate magazines, as well as in local newspapers, and appearances on local television weather channels. Crisman has won the following awards this past year: “Best in Show” at the Walworth County Fair in Elkhorn, “State Exhibit Awards” at both regional and state shows with the Wisconsin Regional Art Alliance in Whitewater, Janesville and Madison.

Crismans exhibits his photographs at the Geneva Lake Art Association gallery and exhibits in the GLAA members tent at Art in the Park.

GLAA’s current exhibit, “Our Town,” is held in conjunction with the National Endowment for the Arts Big Read program. His exhibit highlights our towns everywhere complete with picket fences, a unique clothesline exhibit of unframed works of art and the nostalgia of days gone by.

The GLAA gallery is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays.

Geneva Lake Art Association members, their guests and prospective members are welcome to attend the meetings. Light refreshments will be served.
