Convicted felon accused of voting illegally in Twin Lakes
KENOSHA — A convicted felon is accused of voting illegally in the November election in Kenosha County.
Forty-nine-year-old Michael Radtke of Twin Lakes faces three felony counts of election fraud.
According to the criminal complaint, records indicate Radtke registered and voted Nov. 6 at Lakewood School in Twin Lakes. As part of that process, he signed a voter application form that included a statement that he was not serving a sentence, including probation, for any felony conviction.
Records show Radtke was on probation for a 2010 conviction in Walworth County.
Assistant District Attorney Richard Ginkowski says convicted felons can legally vote only after their civil rights are restored.
The Kenosha News reports Radtke makes his first court appearance March 27. A home phone listing for Radtke could not be found.
