Hosts: Rock Aqua Jays, Janesville
Tournament highlight: “Our ability to get a show on in under 60 minutes when we had not been able to do that through the three weeks we’ve skied so far. Our execution with no falls was top notch,” said Dave Rezin, co-show director of the Aqua Jays.
Quote of the day: “This tournament is a testament to how strong our club is," Rezin said. "We had several issues from a late start to the season this year due to high water and our jump anchor snapping in the middle of the tournament. We had to bring in a 2,000-pound anchor and anchor the jump within 90 minutes. The icing on the cake was the first-place finish.”
“Now we shift our direction to (winning) the state tournament in four weeks when we will ski at 7 a.m. Sunday, July 21, in Wisconsin Rapids.
“We’re skiing early to get the water we want and calm wind conditions to run all our barefoot acts. Our objective is taking first. Anything less than that would be a disappointment.”
