— State Rep. Andy Jorgensen (D-Fort Atkinson) will hold a listening session on Janesville-Milton-Whitewater Innovation Express on Mon., February 4th, as part of Wisconsin’s “Transit Week” celebrations.

Jorgensen will get on the bus at its Milton stop, at the Piggly Wiggly, at 1:30 p.m. He will ride and hear from bus passengers as they head to Whitewater, stopping at Generac at 2:00 p.m. and at UW-Whitewater at 2:10 p.m., wrapping up the special listening session when the bus again stops in Milton at 2:30 p.m.

“The purpose of this event is two-fold: first, to hear from folks in my district who might not otherwise be able to make a listening session, during a workday, and second, to highlight the public transportation options now available in our area,” said Jorgensen. “Riding the bus is an economical, environmentally-friendly way to get around, and I’m so glad that at least some of my neighbors and friends have that option.”

Jorgensen is holding the bus listening session in connection with Wisconsin’s Transit Week, which runs February 4th through February 10th. Janesville Transit authorities remind riders that fare for the Janesville-Milton-Whitewater Innovation Express is $2.50.

Jorgensen also plans to hold listening sessions in each community he represents over the 2013-14 term. Check his website for more details.
