Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, particularly if you're a four-year-old, facing a full day of kindergarten activities.

About 20 families of 4-year-old kindergarten students and their parents from all three elementary schools in the Delavan-Darien School District learned the importance of good food as morning fuel when they participated in a breakfast event that included cooking, stories, crafts, exercise activities and parent education. The Jan. 9 event was held at Darien Elementary School.
