Rock Valley girls basketball wrap up: Whippets roll past Tide

Brooke Trewyn tied a school record by making her 42nd 3-pointer of the season, and Whitewater High defeated visiting Edgerton, 67-49, in a Rock Valley Conference girls basketball game Thursday night.

The Whippets improved to 18-2 overall with the victory.

Whitewater's full-court pressure produced several turnovers en route to a 40-22 halftime lead.

Trewyn led the Whippets with 24 points. Whitewater's Sarah Schumacher added 14 points, and Kailey Reynolds added 13.

Megan Johnson had 15 points to lead Edgerton.

Rock Valley South

-- Clinton 54, Big Foot 35—Clinton jumped to an 11-2 lead and cruised to its Rock Valley South victory over host Big Foot.

Megan Lantz and Taryn Ciochon each scored 12 points for the Cougars, while Jenna Kemp added 10. Clinton built a 47-25 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Clinton is 16-5 overall and 10-5 in the RVC. Big Foot fell to 4-16, 2-12.
