Walters helps Edgerton girls register Rock win
Edgerton High pounded visiting McFarland, 74-33, Tuesday to open up the Rock Valley North Conference season.
The Crimson Tide got off to an 18-4 first-quarter lead as Kassie Walters scored nine of her game-high 17 points. Whitney Oren added eight of her 16 points in the second quarter to give Edgerton a 40-19 lead at the half.
The teams combined to shoot 63 free throws after committing a combined 49 fouls. Edgerton scored 26 points from the foul line and McFarland (0-3) scored 18 points.

Evansville (0-2) was led by Brielle Greenleaf's 14 points. Kayla Klitzman and Tia Nelson each scored 11 points in the loss.
