Lake Geneva--Nearly 400 residents received more than four thousand pounds of free food last week at the Lake Geneva Bowling Alley. The event was a joint effort among The Time is Now to Help, Molina Health Healthcare and Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, according to a release from Molina Healthcare.
In conjunction with the Walworth County Health Department, Molina Healthcare also provided 50 free flu shots.
Participants in the event brought boxes and bags to collect their rations of food, which included chicken, potatoes, bread, corn, canned vegetables, beans, bananas, and more.
“We are thankful to have the opportunity to partner with Feeding America to bring healthy food to those in need in Lake Geneva,” said Andy Bhugra, president of Molina Healthcare of Wisconsin. “More than 370 families attended the event which signifies the need for help, and we are excited to bring both quality food and provide access to quality health care for the communities we serve throughout Wisconsin.”
