Elkhorn Lions Club taking donations for those left in Sandy’s wake

ELKHORN — After checking with several Lions Clubs in the New Jersey area, the Elkhorn Lions Club is coordinating an effort to collect items to assist those who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Items needed include non-perishable food items, diapers (all sizes), household cleaning supplies, clothing (new and gently used), toys and games.

Donations can be dropped off from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 and Friday, Nov. 16 at the old Hallmark storefront next to Frank’s Liquor at 58 W. Market St. in Elkhorn.

Items can also be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Elkhorn Chamber of Commerce, 203 E. Walworth St., Elkhorn.
