State could help nurture job growth
In Wisconsin there is a large problem of unemployment after many businesses went out of business because of the ongoing recession and sluggish recovery. One way to address a solution for unemployment is for the state government to intervene in the economy to help stimulate business growth.
But, said Mike Huebsch, state Secretary of Administration, “The problem cannot be solved by government alone. The people within the economy must spend money, and businesses must take their money and expand to create more jobs.”
A large factor supporting this theory is that when businesses are given money from the government, they do not necessarily create more jobs. Many businesses are not investing this government money in expansion but in savings for future hardships or recessions. In order to revive job growth, state government needs to encourage businesses to expand and lower corporate tax rates.
