Delavan Lions Club donates money for new city trees
DELAVAN Thanks to the Delavan Lions Club, over a dozen new trees will be donated to the Delavan Parks Department this spring.
Following along with a Lions Club International initiative for 2012, the Delavan Lions Club put money toward the planting of trees in its community. The club recently donated $500 to the city's parks department to go toward the purchase of 15 saplings of various species this spring, which the city will tend to over the summer. In fall, club members plan to assist in planting the trees at various public locations throughout the city.
