— Delavan’s Downtown Business Association is collecting holiday recipes for its “Hometown Holiday Favorites” cookbook to be sold as a fundraiser.

The organization is looking for recipes used for special meals and treats for holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and the Fourth of July.

Recipes may be dropped off at the Lubick Gallery, 117 S. 3rd St.; Remember When, 313 E. Walworth Ave.; or Brick Street Market, 104 E. Walworth Ave. Recipes may also be e-mailed to info@discoverdelavan.com. For more information, contact Jill at (262) 740-1996 or Lorie at (262) 728-8670.

For guidelines on submitting recipes and a sample recipe, see the DDBA’s website HERE.

Once recipes are organized and the cookbook is designed, books may be reserved. Reduced prices for the books will be available for customers who prepay for their orders.

The DBBA is a nonprofit organization that sponsors Scarecrow Fest, Delavan Daze, and the Delavan Fresh Market, pays for the 40 American flags that fly downtown May through November, provides free downtown activities, such as carriage rides during the holiday season, and is currently putting a downtown kiosk up to advertise local activities.
