Fontana firefighters hold ‘Ice Party Gone Wild’

— The annual “Ice Party Gone Wild” will be held Sat., Jan. 21, beginning at 11 a.m. at The Abbey Resort in Fontana, with proceeds benefiting the Fontana Fire and Rescue Squad.

The event features unlimited brats and beer for a $10 donation. Kids under 12 are free.

Other activities include live entertainment by Big Al Wetzel from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., music by DJ Triple K from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., tethered hot air balloon rides, ice fishing demonstrations and a bags tournament.

Performing at The Waterfront Grill at the Abbey will be children from School of Rock at 5 p.m. ($10) and Big Al Wetzel and the Bushwood Allstars at 9 p.m. (free).

Costs of the event are being underwritten by a number of sponsors, including Big Foot Lions Club, The Abbey Resort, Daniel’s Sentry, Jerry’s Majestic Marine, Keefe Real Estate, Dean Foods, Gordy’s and New Glarus Brewing Co.
