Unable to raise enough cash, Cullen declines run for governor
MADISON At a 2 p.m. press conference today, State Sen. Tim Cullen officially ruled out a run for governor. Cullen was one of several Democrats considering a run at Gov. Scott Walker in a potential recall election. Former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk is the only declared challenger so far.
WisPolitics.com reports that Cullen said he cannot raise the $1 million to $2 million he believes is needed to deliver his message against other candidates with more resources and better name recognition.
Cullen's latest campaign finance report showed he had just $26,299 in the bank at the end of 2011 after raising just $157 over the six-month period.

Sad that money is the root of all evil with Walker getting most of his money from outside the state. Please continue your good work Senator Cullen as you have done alot for southern Wisconsin. You would have been a great governor.
