Walker defends his count on jobs progress
MADISON Gov. Scott Walker is not backing down from his accounting of how many jobs Wisconsin has created since he took office in 2011, even though an independent review has disputed it.
Walker said in an interview Wednesday with The Associated Press that he stands by his way of counting total jobs, which relies on 18 months of data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. That shows the state has added about 86,000 private sector jobs.
But Politifact gave Walker a "Pants on Fire" rating for using that number, since officials within Walker's administration had cautioned against using partial years' worth of data.
Walker says that isn't perfect, but it's the best available measure. And he concedes the best measure is using a year's worth of numbers.

Walker’s claim, that “since the start of the year, Wisconsin has added thousands of new jobs.” Do you see what he’s done there? Walker has skipped entirely over 2011, his first year in office, and instead referenced job statistics for the first two months of 2012. Between January and February, Wisconsin added 10,100 jobs. But then the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that Wisconsin lost 4,500 jobs in March. So now, there’s been a net gain of 5,600 jobs in 2012.if you look at the jobs picture since Walker took office, Wisconsin has lost a net 14,200 jobs. In fact, Wisconsin has lagged behind the rest of the country in the recovery. While Wisconsin has lost jobs during Walker’s time in office, the country as a whole saw jobs increase by 1.8 percent.Needless to say, Wisconsin is not on track for Walker to keep his campaign promise to bring the state 250,000 new jobs by 2015.

Walker is too busy working on GOP Voter Suppression Tactics, promoting the bill to strip public workers of collective bargaining rights and controversial budget cuts to public education, the University system and health care...JOBS??What JOBS??? He is too busy strip mining the middle class. His loyalty is to the Billionaires who BANKROLL his campaigns. Walker raised $37 million for the recall election. Those ads that ran on TV...were very MISLEADING....In May of 2012, a video was released of a January 18, 2011 conversation with Beloit billionaire Diane Hendricks about creating a red state, wherein he states he is going to "divide and conquer" unions. As a strategy against unions, starting first with a "budget adjustment bill" applying to public workers. She gave Walker $500,000 on April 12, 2012 and $10,000 on January 31, 2011, making her his single biggest contributor. Hendricks has given money to Paul Ryan, Ron Johnson, Tommy Thompson and the Republican National Committee and is worth an estimated $2.8 billion...Just another thing that makes ya go Hmmmm. JOBS?? What does Walker's actions tell YOU???

donnaw, good to see that you finally admit Walker is using lies to deceive voters in Wisconsin. I'm sure you won't make the same mistake twice by voting for Walker in the future.

The average politician has little credibility these days. Walker just lacks more than the average. Its even more disgusting when they actually make attempts to defend a stance or number that has been proven to be incorrect. I find it insulting when politicians, like Walker, believe the average voter is too stupid to notice when they blatantly lie.
