Crash closes Interstate between Delavan and Elkhorn

DELAVAN TOWNSHIP -- I-43 between Delavan and Elkhorn was closed for nearly an hour today a UW Med Flight helicopter landed to airlift a crash victim from the scene.

The highway was closed at about 12:30 p.m. and reopened about 1:15 p.m. Med Flight landed on the Interstate and was on the scene for about 20 minutes.

The accident occurred in the northbound lane, and scanner traffic indicated that one person was airlifted from the scene. Investigators were expected to be on the scene throughout the afternoon.
