Town of Geneva supervisor posts bond for boater
GENEVA TOWNSHIP Court records show a town of Geneva board member has posted bond for an Illinois boater accused of running over a 10-year-old boy, according to a story in the Lake County News Sun.
Gene Decker of Lake Geneva, a supervisor in the town of Geneva, bonded David Hatyina out of jail last week, records reveal.
Hatyina is charged with reckless homicide and aggravated driving under the influence in the death of Tony Borcia, a Libertyville, Ill. resident, who was run over and killed by a speedboat on July 28 near Lake Villa.
Decker declined to tell the paper what his connection is to Hatyina.
