Jets skate to a tie

— The Janesville Jets and Chicago Hitmen battled to a 2-2 tie Saturday in North American Hockey League play.

The Jets are 7-0-1.


The Jets’ Jordan Bancroft and Joey Sanchez scored in the first period for a 2-0 lead.


The Hitmen bounced back with two power play goals at 5:08 and 8:54 of the second period. The Jets had two shots on goal in the third period and the Hitmen had none.


Janesville goalkeeper Tony Kujava, the NAHL goalkeeper of the month, made 23 saves, while Chicago’s Nick Kohn stopped 20 shots. Janesville was 0-for-3 on the power play, while Chicago went 2-for-4.
