The annual Delavan-Darien FFA Plant Sale at the Delavan-Darien High School Greenhouse (150 Cummings St., Delavan) is back once again with a variety of vegetables and flowers that will fit the tastes - figuratively and literally - of any green thumb.

More information is on the Delavan-Darien School District website.

The sale is scheduled for 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, May 4-6, and from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, May 14.

DDHS students in the school's Greenhouse Management class have raised a large selection of plants this year.

"We're pretty happy with our plants this year," DDHS agricultural science teacher Marty Speth said, noting the quality of the Begonis Hiemalis and Begonis Bolivensis plants. Those won't last long, he said.

The sale offers more varieties of tomatoes and peppers than ever before, many of which are flowering already for a head start on your garden.

Also, many of the pant varieties are looking especially hearty and healthy this year, Speth said, including the Dahlias, Impatiens, Geraniums, Coleus and more.

All proceeds benefit the members of the Delavan-Darien FFA chapter with student activities, leadership workshops and conventions.

A large variety of plants, flowers, vegetables and herbs are on sale. See the list below or call Speth at (262) 728-2642 ext. 4461.
