— Is the employment climate on the upswing in Walworth County? Economic development officials are hoping an employer survey will give them some clues.

The Walworth County Workforce Development Board and Walworth County Economic Development Alliance are working together to survey employers throughout the county to determine what positions they currently have (or anticipate having) available in 2011, as well as any difficulties they may have in filling those positions.

Surveys such as this are being conducted throughout the state in partnership with economic development agencies and workforce development boards to assist the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development in determining what types of training programs need to be offered in order to meet the future demands of Wisconsin businesses.

The survey is open to any employer in Walworth County, according to Mike Van Den Bosch, executive director of the Walworth County Economic Development Alliance. Businesses names will not be identified in the results.

The survey deadline is Friday, March 25. It should only take you about 10 minutes, and any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated.
