The Beloit School District may be losing its top administrator.

School Board President Mike Ramsdail says Superintendent Milt Thompson has been offered a job closer to his home in Kenosha. Thompson has been with the district less than two years, but Ramsdail says he's brought excitement and leadership to the position. He's also helped move the district's strategic plan forward.

Thompson is expected to work through the school year.
