Connor Kelly led visiting Hartland University Lake School past host Williams Bay, 64-51, in a Division 5 regional boys basketball opener Tuesday night.


Kelly scored 33 points as the Lakers (10-11) increased a 33-26 halftime lead to 52-38 going into the final quarter. Kelly had 10 of the Lakers’ 19 third-quarter points.


Lawrence Crement led the Bulldogs (7-16) with 15 points. Chad Pharris added 10.


University Lake plays at Lake Country Lutheran (14-9) in Friday’s regional semifinals.

-- Monticello 47, Albany 36—The Ponies rolled to a 20-4 first-quarter lead on its way to a Division 5 regional quarterfinal victory over visiting Albany.


Monticello (18-5), the Six Rivers East co-champion, hosts Juda (15-8) in Friday’s regional semifinals.


The Comets cut the deficit to 39-34 with 1:39 to play, but that was the closest they got.


Tyler Ritchard scored 18 points for Monticello. Ritchard, a senior, has scored 1,058 points in three varsity seasons. Isaiah Shell scored 11 points for Albany (4-19).
