LAKE GENEVA Sal Dimiceli, Sr., the Lake Geneva real estate developer and founder of The Time is Now to Help, has been named a CNN Hero for his work in helping people in Walworth County who are struggling financially.
Dimiceli was nominated to receive the cable news network's recognition, and his story will be broadcast beginning Friday, July 29, 2011.
Dimiceli grew up in poverty, and after achieving financial success as an adult, found a way to help those who are struggling and have run out of places to turn for help.
His blog appears on WalworthCountyToday.com and a column appears regularly in the Walworth County Sunday newspaper. In 2008, Dimiceli told his story to the Gazette for the People Who Matter series.
