Five Craig wrestlers have perfect day

— Five Janesville Craig wrestlers went 5-0 on Saturday as the Cougars finished 3-2 at the South Milwaukee duals.

Craig opened with a 45-29 loss to Luxemborg-Casco, the No. 1-ranked team in Division 2, then fell to West Allis Central, 44-28, in its second match.


The Cougars then defeated Greenfield, 55-24; Racine Park, 45-32, and South Milwaukee, 50-36.


Craig’s Siven Furseth, a senior, pinned all five of his opponents at 135 pounds to improve his career victory total to 151, which includes 106 pins.


Seniors Jamie Kumlien at 119 and Chris Pierce at 130 also went 5-0, and both now have 99 career victories.


Cougar freshman Anthony Skrede at 103 and senior Kyle Upmann at 125 also won all five of their matches.
