Delavan-Darien Comets fall to Westosha, other scores

Austin Damaschke and his Westosha Central teammates were too much for Delavan-Darien High’s balanced attack in Southern Lakes boys basketball Tuesday night.


Damaschke scored a game-high 27 points, and teammate Dalton Sjong added 16 to lead the visiting Falcons (6-5, 4-2) past the Comets, 63-56.


Four players scored in double figures for Delavan-Darien, but the Comets’ second-half rally came up short.


Westosha had a 44-31 lead after three quarters before the Comets (1-11, 0-6) trimmed the deficit to four.


Justin Fowlkes’ 20 points led Delavan-Darien. Marcus McLin added 12, Raheem Heidelburg scored 11 and Danny Supernaw had 10.


Westosha made 21 of 33 free-throw attempts to Delavan-Darien’s 4 of 9.

Joe Sturino led Waterford (4-2, 5-6) with 17 points, and teammate Brent Plantz added 14. Kyle Hoskins scored 13 points for Elkhorn (4-7, 2-4).
