Jefferson gets past Evansville, other scores

Esau Ramirez and Sam Nevins led a first-half charge that sent Jefferson past visiting Evansville, 53-42, in a Rock Valley North boys basketball game Tuesday night.


Ramirez scored eight of his 13 points in the first half, while Nevins had 10 of his 12 in the first 16 minutes as the Eagles (5-0 in the Rock, 6-4 overall) took a 29-11 lead at halftime.


Dylan Erickson led Evansville (2-3, 4-5) with 18 points.

Badger South

Fort Atkinson held visiting Milton to six points in the first half and went on to a 57-31 victory in a Badger South boys basketball game Tuesday night.


The Blackhawks (2-2 in Badger, 4-7 overall) took a


25-6 halftime lead, then hit six three-point shots in the third quarter to take a 45-14 lead into the fourth quarter.


T.J. Strom led the Blackhawks with 16 points, including four of Fort’s eight three-point goals. Tanner Boos had 10 points, and Logan Schwandt had three three-point goals for nine points.


Junior Sam McCann led the Red Hawks (1-4, 4-5) with 16 points.
