Davis keys Whitewater men’s win

The beat goes on for UW-Whitewater’s men’s basketball team.


The Warhawks took control early Wednesday night against UW-La Crosse and coasted to a 60-45 WIAC win in the Kachel Gym.


Whitewater got 23 points from WIAC Player of the Week Chris Davis to remain unbeaten on the season at 7-0, including 2-0 in the conference.


The Warhawks limited the Eagles (5-2, 1-1) to 13 points in the first half in building a 25-13 lead.


Luke Knoble added 11 points for Whitewater, while Jack Taylor had 17 to lead La Crosse. Lake Geneva Badger graduate Braden Tice had eight points for La Crosse.


Whitewater begins a five-game road trip Saturday at UW-Eau Claire.
