Big inning leads Bees past Beloit Snappers

— A four-run rally gave the visiting Burlington Bees a 6-1 lead en route to a 7-3 victory over the Beloit Snappers on Monday in Midwest League baseball.

Beloit trailed 2-1 after four innings. Burlington erupted for four runs in the fifth inning on a pair of walks, a throwing error, John Nester’s RBI single and Tony Thompson’s two-run double.


Snappers’ starter Andrei Lobanov (0-1) took the loss, allowing six runs on three hits in 4 2/3 innings. Lobanov walked three and recorded two strikeouts.
