Elkhorn man hospitalized after being struck by pickup

— An Elkhorn man was hospitalized and in intensive care after he and another man were struck Saturday by a truck at a Ripon motel.

John C. Bean Jr., 34, Elkhorn, was airlifted to Theda Clark Regional Medical Center from Ripon Medical Center, according to the Ripon Press.

A second man, Joseph T. Kraris, 26 of Princeton also was struck.

Police located the driver of the truck, a 45-year-old Marshfield man, a few blocks away at a convenience store.

He initially was taken into custody, but has since been released pending further investigation.
