New booklet intended to help local victims of domestic violence

Victims of domestic abuse may now find it easier to navigate both the legal and recovery process. Y

WCA of Rock County Executive Director Kerri Parker says a new handbook is available through a community collaborative effort. Parker says victims can be overwhelmed by all the different information offered through different sources. She says the new booklet is intended to make this information available in one spot. Police Sergeant Anne Brophy says information offered by police has been limited, and the hope is the new, more comprehensive handbook will help prevent further victimization.

The handbook can be accessed on-line through the police section of the City of Janesville website.
