Badger women fall in tourney

— The University of Wisconsin lost, 56-50, to St. Mary’s College on Saturday night to finish 0-2 in the Concord-Hilton Thanksgiving Classic.

The Gaels made four-straight free throws in the final 23 seconds to seal the win.


Badgers’ senior co-captain Alyssa Karel scored 13 points, and Anya Covington added her third career double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.


The Badgers (2-4) host Duke in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Kohl Center.
