LAKE GENEVA -- Come for the connection and education, stay for the inspiration at the Women’s Resource Fair in Lake Geneva. This is the sixth year for the event which is held Saturday and Sunday (March 20-21) at Badger High School in Lake Geneva.
The fair will feature nearly 50 exhibiting practitioners, organizations and businesses with 35 educational lectures in the areas of alternative health and wellness. The emphasis is on education and empowerment of women.
Sponsors for this year’s event include: Alternative Health Associates, CSI Media, Gooseberries Fresh Food Market, Nei-Turner Media Group, She magazine and Young Living Essential Oils.

Fair highlights
-- Attend the Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival Friday (March 19) at Badger High School, then bring your ticket stub to the fair to receive $5 off admission.
-- It’s all about food. Watch a 3 p.m. Saturday movie showing of “Food, Inc.”This is an eye- opening documentary about our nation’s food industry from farm to grocery store.
-- Be Your Own Boss! At 2 p.m. Sunday, participate in a panel discussion — questions and answers with home-based business entrepreneur experts. This event will be moderated by life coach Bonny Truskowski. There will be 11 businesses represented to debunk the stereotype of multi-level marketing companies.
-- A soap-felting station will teach you how to cover a bar of soap with wool fiber, then felt it to create a soap and washcloth all in one. The workshop is free but a minimal fee applies for materials.
