Lake Geneva plans two candidate forums for upcoming election

— Lake Geneva voters will have two chances to hear from the candidates when the Lake Geneva Regional News and WLKG host forums March 25 and April 1.

The general election is April 6.

On Thursday, March 25, from 7 to 9 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., the Regional News will run a debate for the citywide races

March 25: A debate between mayoral candidates Jim Connors and Scott Storms is planned for 7 p.m. March 25. The event also will include treasurer candidates Tom Spellman and Teresa Klein, as well as Third District aldermanic candidates incumbent Bill Mott and Peg Esposito.

Incumbent City Attorney Dan Draper, who is unopposed also will have a chance to speak to the voters at the event.

April 1: An aldermanic forum is planned for 6:30 p.m. April 1. That event will include aldermanic candidates in four races, including the First District two-year term between Spyro "Speedo" Condos and incumbent Todd Krause; the First District one-year term between Ellyn Kehoe and Bill Cousino Jr.; the Second District between Barbara Hartke and Tom Hartz; and the Fourth between incumbent Frank Marsala and Terry O'Neill.

The events will take place at Lake Geneva City Hall, and both are expected to be televised on the city's Time Warner government cable access Channel 25.
