WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on capture in lengthy I-90 police chase

RSS

The Rock County Sheriff's Office assisted in the police pursuit of a suspect accused of abducting a woman from a McFarland apartment at knife point.

The chase almost ran the entire length off I-90 in Rock County. The Sheriff's Office reports stop sticks were deployed near US Highway 14, deflating the front driver's side tire of the suspect's vehicle, which they say continued driving on the rim. Authorities say the car repeatedly crossed the median into oncoming traffic.

The car became stuck in a muddy section of the median near Beloit. 33-year-old Eldon Weinda was taken into custody.
