Milton rolls past Burlington

Milton High School pounded Burlington 88-57 in a Division 1 girls baskeball regional semifinal Tuesday at Milton.
The No. 3 seed Red Hawks (21-2) will face Beloit Memorial (10-13) in a regional final on Saturday at Milton. Burlington finishes the season 4-19.
Ashley Roherty scored nine of her game-high 23 points in the first quarter and added 12 points in the third quarter to pace Milton.
Morgan Bloomer followed with 18 points and Liz Eide added 17 points for Milton.

Megan Slavish had 17 points to lead Beloit, while Jackie Herman had a game-high 24 for Wilmot (7-16).

-- Stoughton 58, Oregon 55—Stoughton earned a trip to No. 2-seeded Janesville Parker on Saturday afternoon by scoring the final eight points in the last minute to beat visiting Oregon in a Division 1 regional semifinal game.
The seventh-seededVikings (11-12) trailed the 10th-seeded Panthers (10-13) 55-50 with 58 seconds left. Tessa Mersberger hit a three-pointer, and after a steal, Danae Dallenbach hit another three with about 30 seconds left to put Stoughton ahead.
After another turnover, Mersberger sank two free throws with less than 10 seconds left to account for the final score. Mersberger finished with 17 points.
April Cook scored 14 points, and Jenna Kleitsch added 13 for Oregon (10-13).
