— The Clinton School Board on Monday night likely will hire a former Milton High School principal as the Clinton district’s administrator.

The board has offered the position to Randy Refsland, who is the administrator in the Waupun Area School District. Refsland was the principal at Milton High School until 2008 when he took the job in Waupun.

The Clinton district expects Refsland to get to work on July 1, school board President Randy Gracyalny said.

Refsland will replace Pam Keifert, who will retire. She has worked in the district since 2007.

Refsland was one of three finalists for the job, Gracyalny said. The others were Jo-Ellen Fairbanks, supervisor of secondary curriculum for the Beloit School District, and Marc Eckmann, who since July has been director of educational services for the Clinton School District.

Eckmann withdrew his name before the final interviews, which were Saturday, Gracyalny said. Eckmann still is working in the Clinton district, Gracyalny said.

“We’re just real pleased and excited that Randy will be coming to Clinton,” Gracyalny said.
