Delavan-Darien boys snap losing streak, other scores

Delavan-Darien High’s boys basketball team got back on track Thursday night.


The visiting Comets snapped a two-game losing streak with a 64-43 victory over Westosha Central to finish third in the Southern Lakes at 9-5 and 13-9 overall.


Tyler Butke scored 18 points and Josh Cesarz added 16 points for Delavan-Darien’s balanced attack.


Spencer McCoy scored 14 points and teammate Dustin Milz added 11 points for Westosha (8-14, 7-7).

Nobody scored in double figures for the Elks, who finished 5-9 in the conference and 9-13 overall after winning the Southern Lakes championship last season.
