Bundy’s 23 spark Warhawks

UW-Whitewater took the early lead and posted a 75-62 victory over visiting UW-Oshkosh in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s basketball Wednesday.


With the victory, the Warhawks (18-6, 11-4) remain tied with UW-Stevens Point (19-5, 11-4) for the WIAC lead. Whitewater concludes the regular season hosting UW-Superior this Saturday.


Whitewater rolled out to a 40-25 first-half lead, making 18 of 37 (49 percent) shots from the field. Oshkosh went eight for 29 (28 percent) in the first half.


Nicole Bundy finished with a game-high 23 points for Whitewater. Kelsey Hendrickson added 18 points and Cortney Kumerow chipped in 21 points.
