The Janesville Blackhawk Golden "K" Kiwanis are hoping for better luck this year with the "Truck on Ice" fundraiser.

Organizer Bob Johnson helped put the truck on Traxler Park lagoon Monday. He says it was a year ago on the same day the truck sank through.

Those who buy a ticket get to guess when the truck will fall through the ice.

Ticket sales have been going well so far. Proceeds go to a variety of charities including school breakfast club meals and scholarships to Blackhawk Technical College and UW-Rock County.
