Fort in control against Badger

Fort Atkinson School’s boys basketball team will make it hometown show in the championship game of the Blackhawks’ holiday tournamwent.


The Blackhawks (3-6) led all the way Monday night in defeating Lake Geneva Badger, 60-54, to earn a shot at Lakeside Lutheran in tonight’s title game.


Fort Atkinson collected three of its five three-point goals in a 16-9 first quarter to take control of the Badgers


(1-5).


Tanner Boos had 12 points to pace a Fort Atkinson attack that included nine scorers. Colton Andresen and Brendan Gruenwald-Schmitz had 18 and 154 points, respectively, to lead Badgers, which had seven three-point goals.

Jarnigo sank all six of Lakeside’s three-point shots.


Austin Markved and Lyle Hollingshead each scored 10 points to pace Whitewater.
