Erika Whitson won all four individual events, plus the all-around, to lead Janesville Parker’s gymnastics team to a 134.95-129.475 nonconference win over Elkhorn.

Whitson’s night was highlighted by her winning score of 36.2 in the all-around. The score broke her school record of 35.95, which she set last year.

Whitson also scored a 9.65 in winning the floor exercise. Whitson tied her school record with the score.

“I like the way we competed,” Parker coach Cathy Lehmann said about the short-handed squad. “We have some flu going around.”

Lehmann was encouraged by the performance of Brecklin Skleski, who competed in her first varsity meet, and the scores of the Vikings who participated in the balance beam.

Hailey Leisten had a note-worthy performance on the beam, tying Whitson for first with a 9.175 score.

Parker will be off until after the holiday break.
